An old filthy warehouse sits tucked between high rises and factories off a dingy alley in the middle of the suburban jungle that is New York City. The sun beats down on the building as rays penetrate windows frosted with dirt and dust. Inside the warehouse is a massive amount of open space. In the center of the building stands a lone wrestling ring surrounded by a dozen or so ladders. A belt is suspended from the ceiling hanging ominously over the ring.
A very pleased Ryan Williams is sitting on the top turnbuckle of the ring staring at the belt high above his head. He wipes himself down with a towel and his Venom shirt is covered in sweat. The sound of high heels can be heard echoing throughout the empty warehouse as a sultry blonde struts her way towards the ring. Ryan checks her out starting with the long tan legs that lead to a prefect body. The body is topped off with a great rack and a pretty smile adorns a beautiful face. Their eyes meet and Ryan Williams jumps down from the ring to the floor to greet Pamela Paulshock.
Williams: “Good afternoon Pamela, it’s great to see you again. You’re looking wonderful as always.”
Ryan extends a hand and shakes Pamela’s as she greets him back.
Paulshock: “Ryan, it’s pleasant to see you again too. Working hard as always it appears.”
Williams: “Yeah I have this ladder match coming up. You might have heard about it, it’s for the World title and it’s the main event at WUW’s first ever pay per view, Bloodbath.”
A somewhat fake laugh comes from Pamela as she digest Ryan’s boastful statement.
Paulshock: “Sanket Desai, What do you know about him?”
Ryan scratches his head and thinks for a moment.
Williams: “Well not much. He appears to be a tough wrestler but who knows where his head is at. Last week there was something about him leaving. I hope he got the memo that he’s facing me Sunday because he better be ready for it. I didn’t rent a warehouse and buy 14 ladders to mop the floor with some fool. I’m ready to bring it, he better be up on my level if he wants a chance to survive Sunday night.”
Paulshock: “You have been making a lot of history lately. Are you ready to make some more?”
If Ryan didn’t already have a smile on his face, he does now and it’s bigger then ever. He leans against the ring and crosses his arms on his chest.
Williams: “I don’t like to brag but I’ve only wrestled in the WUW’s main event since my arrival and I plan to keep it that way for awhile. I haven’t lost yet and have faced two of the best wrestlers WUW has to offer. All my matches have been more memorable then losing your virginity and I promise Sunday night will be an epic. I will make history on multiple levels. I will be the first man in the WUW to win a ladder match and more importantly, I will be the first man ever to wear the WUW championship gold around my waist.”
Paulshock: “You gave us a taste of what your capable of in a ladder match last Friday what can we expect for blood bath?”
Ryan laughs and looks at all the ladders surrounding the ring.
Williams: “I’d be lying if I told you I don’t have anything up my sleeve, but a magician never reveals his secrets. I’ve done the ladder match thing before and I’ve came out victorious on multiple occasions. I’m not gonna say ladders are my specialty because I like to consider myself a pretty well rounded wrestler. I don’t care if it’s a table match, inferno match, hell in a cell, an I quit match, Ironman match, or a lumberjack match, I can do it all. With that said I think it’s typical for a guy to get a little excited when they are in a gimmick match and I’m sure I’ll come out with guns blazing and then some.”
Paulshock: “Does Sanket’s Ice cold demeanor bother you at all?”
Williams: “Pam let me give you a free science lesson today. There is a process that occurs in the scientific world called sublimation. This process is when you convert a solid directly into a gaseous state skipping the liquid phase. How does this relate to Sunday’s match? Well in layman’s terms Ice man’s ass is grass and I’m gonna smoke it. Get the picture?”
Paulshock: “Yes I do. It seems you have no reservations about Sunday’s match.”
Williams: “Good call Captian Obvious. I have a few days left on my training session. I’ve already seen some live action with the ladders and I’ll be fully prepared for anything and everything. The only thing that scares me about Sanket Desai is that goofy hair do he has.”
Paulshock: “Its clear by now how you earned the Venom moniker, how will it come into effect in this match?”
A smirk forms on Ryan’s face as he answers the question.
Williams: “Venom is strength, its strategy, its experience, its wisdom, its timing, its charisma, and lastly its pure will power. I know I’m a great wrestler. When I enter the ring I lull my opponent into a false sense of security. They think that they’re in the match but they’re far from competing with me. At times my talent can seem limitless. I can take as much damage as I dish out and then some. I always have more to give then the other guy. To me getting pinned and having that 3 count go against me is worse then dying. It’s hard to realize the full extent of Venom. I’m slowly poisoning this whole federation. It started with Gambini and it’s not goning to end until I’m dead and gone. People really have to think long and hard about getting into the ring with me. Gambini and Justin Lowe have both tried to beat me. They really tried to bust my chops but I know they had to be amazed when I got back up for more and gave them a few lumps back. They had to of been saying to themselves, ‘Holy nuts, how do I pin this guy?’ Sanket better bring an army if he thinks he’s stop me from reaching that belt. One man isn’t gonna do it. Im sorry but I don’t have anymore time to chat today, it’s time to get back to work. Thanks for stopping by Pamela.”
Paulshock: “Anytime, its my job.”
The two shake hands again and Pamela begins to walk out of the warehouse on her way out she passes two men entering. She glances back to see Ryan Williams already standing on top of a ladder. After a breif look she continues to walk out. As she opens the door she hears a loud crash.
“Oh my God! That was sick Ryan!” a voice yells.
Pamela whirls around to see one man lying on the ground in the fetal position more then likely knocked out cold, with Ryan standing over him Laughing. The other man has a look of awe on his face. Pamela wonders what happened.
Ryan yells from inside the warehouse to a stunned Pamela.
Williams: “Don’t worry Pamela, You’ll get to see the full show Sunday.”
Pamela smiles as she steps outsides and thinks of the excitement of Sunday’s title match and leaves Ryan to practice.
